Farewell to Beaver leader
MEMBERS of the 2nd Driffield Blue Beavers have been pictured bidding a fond farewell to their departing group leader.
A presentation was made to Sue Garbett-Waldron at the group's meeting this week.
Mrs Garbett-Waldron, who has worked with the group for the past 10 years, is understood to be standing down because of work commitments.
District appointments secretary, Carol Oliver, said: "She has been a very well respected leader and she will be sorely missed."
Pete Rogers, who has worked with Mrs Garbett-Waldron for the past five years, is set to take over as group leader.
Two other leaders have also been recruited to help with the running of the group.
Scout, Cub and Beaver groups in the area are always pleased to hear from people who would be interested in helping out.
Anyone interested should contact Carol Oliver, tel (01377) 255941, to find out more.
