DRIFFIELD fundraiser Sue Blackmun has raised £160 for Help the Aged after manning a tombola stall for the day.
Mrs Blackmun is now well on her way to reaching her target of raising £2,800 to fund her trek to the Himalayas in aid of Help the Aged after running the stall on Market Place.

Mrs Blackmun said: "I would like to say a special thank you to Angela Hague who gave up her day to help me, I couldn't have done it without her. I also want to say thank you to Cathie Shannon and especially to my mum, Olive Blackmun, who helped with the stall."

Mrs Blackmun would also like to thank all local businesses who donated prizes to the tombola, including Boots, Tesco, Boyes and Wilkinson, and to all those who made donations on the day.

Since starting her fundraising earlier in the year, Mrs Blackmun has raised a total of £2,300 to date and hopes her next event will bring her even closer to reaching her final goal.

Mrs Blackmun and fellow supporters will be at the Burton Constable Country Fair on Sunday July 13 selling a range of books, plants and hand-made cards.
