Football League
Hutton Cranswick Panthers1
Hessle Sporting Spitfires U91
Game One
Cranswick Panthers knew this week’s game would be hard against a good Hessle side that’s been top of the league since the start of the season
Cranswick,
sponsored by MRS Car Clinic Ltd, started the game on the back foot letting the opposition pile the pressure on the Cranswick team resulting in Hessle scoring just before halftime.
Tom Dodson was making some fine saves while Bradley Young and Jack Waites marshalled their defence well to keep Cranswick in the game.
In the second half the Panthers settled down and played their usual passing game through the midfield the strong pairing of Kane Wilson and Tom Brackenbury.
It was Brackenbury who brought Cranswick back into the game with another super unstoppable long range goal that levelled the game.
Silky Aston Harrison dribbled forward time and time again, unlucky not to score but mesmerised the Hessle team with his dribbling!
The final whistle came and both teams rightly shared the points in a end-to-end, hard-fought and very equally balanced game.

Game Two
The second game started and a re-shuffled Cranswick didn't start the game at all, going 2-0 down within minutes!
To the boys’ credit they could have let their heads go down but they all had a never say die attitude and worked even harder than ever.
Spencer Dodds and Sam Tytek did brilliantly winning the ball and driving forward causing the Hessle defence problems.
A clever ball from Owen Wilson put in ice cool Adam Naylor who coolly finished in the bottom corner.
Cranswick’s tails were up now and it wasn’t long before Naylor scored again to level the game. Now the game was going the Panthers’ way and the ball fell to goal machine Naylor again, who completed his hat-trick with a great goal into the top corner giving the keeper no chance.
This seemed to fire Hessle up once again and they got an equaliser from a long throw that Cranswick didn’t deal with.
Only a couple of minutes left and a draw would have been a more than fair result in a fantastic game of football but Hessle got the winner with a wonder goal that none of the Panthers could do anything about.
Naylor and Harrison went agonisingly close to equalising near the end but it wasn’t to be, giving all the supporters plenty to applaud in a very very good game of football.
Well done boys as you were very unlucky.
Thanks goes to match ball sponsor John Waites and all the parents that help before, during and after the games.
