North Wolds Pool League review by Neill Rookes
In the A League, Red Lion A moved back to the top of the table with a good 9-3 win away to Mariners A, whilst Buck A slipped to 2nd place after letting a 5-0 lead turn into a narrow 7-5 victory at Bay Horse Kilham A.
Bay Horse A stay clear in 3rd place after a 7-5 win at Royal Oak B. The bottom half of the table is very close and Tiger B, Robin Hood, Cricket Club A and Rose & Crown A shared the spoils to keep things very tight between them.
The B league saw some shocks as the teams at the top of the table suffered heavy defeats, Spread Eagle B were beaten 8-4 at Star B and Buck B thrashed Royal Oak A 9-3 to put themselves very much in contention.
Tiger Beeford A continue to do well, with a good 8-4 away win at Bay Horse B. Ship B also had a big win, 9-3 over Bay Horse Kilham B.
White Horse A lead the C league, following a 9-3 win over Blue Belll B, although they were 3-3 at the half-way point of that match. White Horse B played 2 games this week, a 6-6 draw with Tiger Beeford B and a 7-5 win at Original Keys, which sees them just 2 points behind their A team in a very close title battle.
Sidings A climb back up the table with a good 8-4 away win at Falcon, who are still without a win. Tiger Beeford B gained their second draw of the week against Rose & Crown B and are steadily clawing their way into contention.
