Anyone venturing into Skipton on Saturday 26 October is in for a shock as 1500 zombies are set to invade the town as the Zombie Survival – run for your life event comes to Skipton just 5 days before Halloween. Organisers of the event Freebird Events are promising a spectacular experience for all participants at what will be the largest Zombie Event of its kind in the country.
Peter Mathieson of Freebird Events explains; “To set the scene there will be a special zombie themed film night at the event village in Aireville Park, Skipton on Friday night from 7.30pm with great food and a licenced bar. The Zombie Survival Run will start from the Park on Saturday afternoon with “survivors” following an awesome escape route which includes masses of the most fiendish obstacles designed to slow you down and challenge your nerves. The zombies will be hunting in packs and will try to stop you reaching the finish. Everyone who makes it back alive is invited to the Zombie After Party back at the event village. There will be live bands on stage, great food and a licenced bar, so it should be fantastic end to the zombie experience.”
